Sell Perfex as a service.
Your plans, your brand, your servers.

SaaS Studio turns one Perfex installation into a platform: every customer gets their own Perfex workspace with its own database, the modules of their plan, limits, backups and upgrades — sold through your pricing page, billed with Perfex invoices or Stripe and PayPal subscriptions, and run from one console.

  • 1database and database user per tenant — never a shared schema
  • 100tenants measured in one cron cycle in 2.3 s with 8 workers
  • 3URL modes: path, subdomain, verified custom domain
  • 0Perfex core files patched — one guarded line in the config

Why Perfex SaaS Studio

A SaaS business, not a pile of installs.

Running Perfex for many customers usually means many copies, many upgrades and a spreadsheet of who pays for what. SaaS Studio automates the platform around Perfex while every customer keeps a real, separate Perfex.

“Every new customer is an afternoon of setup.”

Copy files, create a database, import a template, send the login.

With SaaS StudioA customer picks a plan on your pricing page, verifies their e-mail and their workspace is provisioned in the background from your template — they get a one-time login link.

“Upgrading thirty installs is a weekend.”

And one of them always breaks.

With SaaS StudioUpgrade the shared code once and queue tenant upgrades: each takes a lock, makes a backup first and stays in maintenance if anything fails.

“Who is on which plan, and did they pay?”

Limits are promises nobody checks.

With SaaS StudioPlans define modules, quotas, trial and domains; usage is measured; billing runs through Perfex invoices or Stripe/PayPal subscriptions, and unpaid workspaces become past due, then suspended.

What is inside

Everything around the workspaces.

  • TenantsProvisioning and lifecycleSeparate database and user per tenant, templates, trials, suspend, resume, archive, clone, restore and final purge.
  • PlansModules and limitsPrices per currency and interval, setup fees, taxes, module lists, quotas, branding, SMTP and features.
  • BillingInvoices and subscriptionsPerfex invoices for every plan, or Stripe and PayPal subscriptions; add-ons, coupons and billing reviews.
  • OperationsCron, upgrades, backupsOne platform cron with worker pools, queued upgrades with backups, local and S3 backups, health and audit.

Tenants

A real Perfex for every customer.

Each workspace is a Perfex with its own database, its own database user without global privileges, its own files and only the modules of its plan. Shared code is linked, not copied, so a hundred workspaces do not mean a hundred copies.

  • Provisioning from a dedicated template, with logins, sessions, keys and secrets reset
  • Trials, suspension, resume, archive, notes, impersonation with an end-session banner
  • Backups, restore, clone into a fresh workspace and final purge — always backup first
  • Usage: staff, customers, invoices, projects, tasks, tickets, storage, e-mails, API calls
  • Migration importer for an earlier SaaS setup, previewed and reversible

Plans and modules

Decide what each plan gets.

A plan sets prices per currency and billing interval (or one-time), a setup fee, taxes, the trial, the modules and the limits. Plans can carry their own branding, an industry template and their own SMTP.

  • Module inventory with a scanner: reviewed modules are linked, unknown ones stay private copies
  • Quotas for staff, customers, invoices, storage, e-mails, API calls and AI credits
  • Custom domains per plan, with DNS and TXT verification and optional approval
  • Industry templates: start a new workspace with sample data for a trade

Module features per plan · updated in 1.0.2

Plans that open features, not just modules.

Modules add their own switches to your plans. Plans › Module Features shows them side by side for every public plan; changes reach the workspaces right away.

  • Example — Perfex Design Studio: Locked on Starter (your look, read-only), Brand on Growth (their logo, colours and fonts), Full on Studio (their own design)
  • Area switches under each level: Brand Kit, Themes, Layout & Menu, Login Pages, Website, Custom CSS
  • Downgrades keep the previous level for a grace period (30 days by default, 0–365); nothing a workspace made is deleted
  • Inside a workspace, a closed feature shows what the plan includes and links to Upgrade Plan in the portal
  • What a tenant sees: preview each plan's Design Studio page before your customers do
  • Compare Plans side by side, and optionally on your public pricing page

Pricing page and signup

Customers sign themselves up.

A public pricing page lists your plans; signup checks the company, contact and workspace address, verifies the e-mail and shows provisioning progress. Bot timing and optional reCAPTCHA keep spam out.

  • Perfex customer and contact created for every signup — your CRM stays the record
  • Customer portal: workspaces, usage, plan changes, invoices, payment method, domains, exports, cancellation
  • Support access only with the customer's consent, with links that expire in 60 seconds
  • Announcements to all or chosen tenants, in-app and by e-mail

Billing

Paid through Perfex — or a subscription.

Every plan can be billed with Perfex's own recurring invoices and payment gateways. Plans without add-ons or coupons can also run as native Stripe or PayPal subscriptions; combinations with add-ons and coupons stay on the Perfex invoice route.

  • Signed provider webhooks with replay protection and an encrypted event queue
  • Card-required trials; past-due and billing suspension that lift when payment comes in
  • Add-ons and coupons for invoice billing
  • Billing reviews when a provider and Perfex disagree — nothing is guessed
  • MRR, ARR, new tenants, trial conversion and churn
Subscriptions with provider, status and next billing date

Operations

One cron. One upgrade button.

The platform cron runs due tenants through CLI workers — never one HTTP request per tenant. Upgrades are queued, locked and backed up; failures stay in maintenance for a clean retry.

  • Worker pool of 1 to 8; 100 small tenants in 19.4 s with 1 worker, 4.2 s with 4, 2.3 s with 8 (measured)
  • Daily or weekly backups with retention, S3-compatible storage verified by size and SHA-256
  • Provisioning by database pool or database admin; cPanel and Plesk adapters in Beta
  • Health checks, bootstrap repair, operations queue, full audit and CSV exports
  • REST API with scoped keys for plans, tenants, usage and subscriptions
Platform settings: base domain, URL mode, tenant root, provisioning mode and cron workers

Security & isolation

Separated where it matters.

⛨

Separate data

One database and one database-only user per tenant, no global privileges; cookies and CSRF bound to each workspace.

▤

Sealed secrets

Credentials encrypted; a signed tenant registry; platform SMTP never handed to tenants; secrets never shown twice.

◎

Honest limits

Tenants share one PHP user: run trusted modules only, and use containers or separate OS users for untrusted code.

Perfex licence: reselling Perfex CRM as a service requires the Perfex CRM Extended Licence from its author. SaaS Studio is licensed per main installation, not per tenant; other modules you offer keep their own licence terms.

Up and running in three steps

  1. 1

    Install on a staging copy

Upload and activate on the platform install, then open Health and Settings and fix anything red.

  2. 2

    Choose provisioning

A pool of empty databases or a database admin account, tenant and backup folders outside the web root, and one cron line.

  3. 3

Create a template and a plan

Register a template workspace, create your first plan and switch on the pricing page.

Questions

Do I need a special Perfex licence?

Yes. Offering Perfex CRM to others as a service requires the Perfex CRM Extended Licence from its author. SaaS Studio's own licence covers one main installation with unlimited tenants.

What hosting do I need?

A VPS or dedicated server is recommended: PHP 8.1 for web and CLI, MySQL/MariaDB where you can create databases and users (or a pool you created beforehand), cron, HTTPS and folders outside the web root. For a small pilot 2 vCPU and 4 GB RAM; for about 100 light tenants plan 4–8 vCPU and 8–16 GB RAM, then measure with your real modules and traffic. cPanel and Plesk work through Beta adapters.

Does every tenant get its own database?

Yes — its own database and its own database-only user, plus its own files and private module copies where needed. Shared Perfex code is linked to save disk.

Can tenants use my other modules?

Yes, per plan. Reviewed modules are linked; unknown modules run as private copies until you review them. Each module you offer keeps its own licence terms.

How does billing work?

Every plan can be billed with Perfex's recurring invoices and your Perfex payment gateways. Plans without add-ons or coupons can also use native Stripe or PayPal subscriptions with signed webhooks.

Can customers use their own domain?

Yes, when their plan allows it: they add the CNAME (or A record) and a TXT verification record; you can require approval. Subdomains need wildcard DNS and a wildcard certificate.

Does it change Perfex core files?

No core file is replaced. Activation adds one guarded line to application/config/app-config.php (with a private backup) so tenant requests load their own configuration. Health can repair that line.

Is it translated?

Yes. The interface ships in English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), French, German, Italian, Dutch, Turkish and Russian.

How do I get support?

Contact us through sellmycode.net. Six months of support are included with every licence. Please add versions, your URL mode and a screenshot — never passwords, keys or connection strings.
